How Does the LED Screen Calculator Work?

The calculator is a sizing engine built on real cabinet dimensions and typical electrical data for each pixel pitch. Three steps:

1

Enter the wall size

Width and height in meters, as you would tell an installer. The screen is built from standard cabinets, so results round up to whole modules.

2

Pick usage and pixel pitch

Usage sets the electrical and weight profile: outdoor panels draw more power and weigh more; rental panels use 500×500mm fast-lock cabinets.

3

Read the estimates

Resolution, module count, power, weight, viewing distance, and budget range update as you type. Values are typical engineering figures, ±20%.

What Does Pixel Pitch Mean for Resolution and Viewing Distance?

Pixel pitch is the distance in millimeters between the centers of two adjacent pixels — the single number that decides sharpness and cost. A P2.5 screen packs 128 pixels across each 320mm module, so every square meter holds about 160,000 pixels; a P10 screen holds 10,000. The rule of thumb: minimum comfortable viewing distance in meters equals the pitch number. A P2.5 wall looks sharp from 2.5 meters; a P10 billboard is built for 10 meters and farther.

Pixel Pitch Pixels per m² Min Viewing Distance Typical Use
P1.53 / P1.86 427,000 / 289,000 1.5 – 1.9 m Control rooms, boardrooms, broadcast
P2.5 / P2.9 160,000 / 119,000 2.5 – 2.9 m Churches, retail, conference halls
P3.91 / P4.81 65,500 / 43,300 3.9 – 4.8 m Stages, events, medium outdoor
P6.67 – P10 22,500 – 10,000 6.7 – 10 m Roadside billboards, facades, stadiums

How Much Power Does an LED Display Use?

The calculator shows two numbers: average and maximum. Average draw reflects normal video content and is what your electricity bill follows; maximum draw is the full-white worst case and is what your electrician sizes breakers and cables for. Outdoor screens draw more because their LEDs are driven harder to beat sunlight. Common-cathode outdoor panels — standard on our OK and B series — cut average consumption by 20 to 30% versus common-anode designs of the same brightness.

What Do LED Display Prices Include?

The budget range in the calculator is a typical market reference for a complete display: LED modules, cabinets, power supplies, receiving cards, and internal wiring. It excludes the sending box and media player, steel structure, installation, and freight — all quoted separately on your project. Final pricing depends on quantity, series, and options such as front-service or anti-corrosion treatment. The FAQ page explains pricing in more detail.
